Antique Victorian Bates and Bacon Blue Gemstone Heart Gold Filigree Heart Pendant Necklace. Beautiful Blue Heart Cabochon. Titanic style jewelry! The heart is made from a Blue Paste. The necklace pendant also has gorgeous green tones mixed with the blue. Made by the D. F. Briggs Company of Attleboro, MA, this is a lovely example of the quality that was produced by this company in the early 1900’s. The D.F.B. Company was founded by D.F. Briggs in 1892 and would later change its name to Briggs, Bates & Bacon in 1922. In 1950, the Briggs name was eliminated entirely and the company would be identified as Bates & Bacon. The pendant is from the Victorian era but the necklace chain is more than likely not the original as it has the 1950’s signature on it. Both of the items are in good Antique / Vintage condition but may show minor wear due to age and normal use. The necklace clasp is signed “Bates and Bacon 1/20 12KG”. The necklace chain measures just under 20 inches and the pendant measures just under an inch. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail and insurance.
